Funeral: Marvel Timm was called home to heaven on Thursday afternoon.  Visitation will be held here at church on Tuesday from 1l:00 to 1:00.  Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” Revelation 14:13

Mission Offering:  On Sept. 23 & 30, there will be a basket in the back of church if you’d like to donate money for our WELS missions, both home and abroad.  If you’re writing out a check, please make it payable to St. John’s Evening Circle.

WELS Campus Ministry: Heading to college can be exciting, stressful, and everything in-between. WELS Campus Ministry can help! Let us help you stay connected to God’s Word. To begin go to and click the button “College students register here.” You can register for free subscriptions to Forward in Christ magazine and Meditations devotional booklets and will be connected to the campus pastor for your school. Students who have previously registered for WELS Campus Ministry are encouraged to check your profile and preferences and make any necessary updates. For questions please contact Ginny Mundstock at the WELS Campus Ministry office, or 414-256-3279.

Blackhawk Chorale: The Blackhawk Chorale will resume rehearsals on Sunday, Sept.23, meeting from 6-8 p.m. in Peace Lutheran’s chancel area.  We will rehearse weekly in preparation for a concert-service to be given here at Peace Lutheran on Sunday morning, November 11, honoring the 60th anniversary of Peace as a WELS congregation.  It is important to be able to read notes in singing with the Chorale, but we invite any WELS members in the area to sing with us.  Try us for a semester if you’re curious.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact Pastor Lehmann, who conducts the Chorale (608-752-0258 or )
