December 15, 2019

Christmas Eve service will be a service of lessons and carols.  Christmas Day will focus on “God So Loved the World.”  New Year’s Eve Service will be a communion service to end the year.  Join us for the real meaning of Christmas.

Donna Chamberlin was called to her eternal home this past week.  Her funeral is scheduled for Sat., January 11, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and funeral at 11:00 a.m.  Philippians 3:20: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Food and Clothing Drive: We will once again be collecting food for the Whitewater Food Pantry.  There are boxes in the back where you can place your items.  There will also be a clothing drive.  This is for gently-used clothing.

“Witness the Wonder” at the Lakeside Lutheran Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. (pre-concert piano selections begin up to ½ hour prior) in the east gymnasium. Join the LLHS family as we rejoice over Jesus’ birth. Come early to hear pre-concert solos and ensembles, then listen to and participate in selections by our Concert Band, A Cappella, Freshman Chorus, Cantate Choir and Percussion Ensemble. It’s a joyful, reverent addition to your Advent season!

Luther Prep Christmas Concert will be held on December 15 at 3:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m.

Tuck Pointing has been finished on the church. If you would like to contribute to this project, mark it on the building fund envelope.  The furnace was paid off.

Altar Guild is looking for some new members. This would involve setting up for communion, and helping to clean up afterwards.  Depending on how many members we have, you would only have to do this 4 or 5 times per year. “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  Ephesians 2:10
