October 20, 2019

Tuck Pointing has been finished on the church. If you would like to contribute to this project, mark it on the building fund envelope.  The furnace was paid off.

Quarterly Meeting will be November 3 after the service.

Funeral:  The Lord called Chuck Timm home last week.  Visitation will be this afternoon from 4:00-6:00 at Nitardy Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be here at church tomorrow at 11:00 a.m.  There will be visitation an hour before the service. “For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.”

We live by grace alone…faith alone…Scripture alone…Christ Alone!  Save the last Sunday afternoon this month for another wonderful opportunity to join with area WELS/ELS Lutherans, at Lakeside Lutheran High School on Sunday, October 27 at 4:00 p.m. to worship our Savior and commemorate our Lutheran heritage on this 502nd anniversary of the Reformation. Along with adult and high school singers, we’re pleased to host a children’s choir, in which many federation LES 3rd-8th graders will sing the “Children’s Reformation Hymn.”  If your students are participating, please have them in the West Gym at 3:20 p.m.

New Friends and Lakeside Lutheran Teens for Christ invite students and adults with special needs to campus, giving them a place to hang out and develop friendships. LLHS students, along with our new friends, participate in a variety of activities, including games, crafts, snacks, and music. Our next gathering is Sunday, October 20, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the west gym at Lakeside. Pre-registration is not needed, but if you know of anyone with special needs who might be interested in attending, or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ruth Hirschfeld at rhirschf@llhs.org.
