Dead Sea Scrolls - We took a trip to the Milwaukee museum to see the Scrolls on May 22.

Wisconsin Chapter of the Organ Historical Society stopped here on the April 9.

Joy to the World

The group “One Hope” was with us on Sunday, November 29. The group is composed of Ashley Nichols (a member here at St. John's), Kaycee Welke, Nate Welke, Ben Warmuth, and Nathaniel Timmermann . They sang "Thy Word" "Here I am to Worship" "Amazing Grace" and "This is My Word"

Lakeside's A Cappella Choir was with us on November 15. I heard many nice comments about their music. Principal Grasby also spoke to the congregation after the service. We thank them for being with us and wish the Lord's blessings on the choir and our high school.

Church Picnic - On August 2 we held our church picnic and outdoor service. Since the church owns the property by the parsonage, we held the event there. Once again the Lord blessed us with beautiful weather.

Marv Krohn provided us with a tent to give us some shade. We didn't have to worry about the rain. Ken Neipert brought his keyboard, and we joined in worshipping our Lord.

After the service we grilled brats, burgers and hot dogs. A good time was had by all.

Vacation Bible School - On July 25 we held our Vacation Bible School with Christus Lutheran Church of Richmond. We publicized the event in our congregations through our church bulletins, inserts and newsletters.

We also reached out to the community in local papers, by direct mailing of post cards, through our web pages on the internet and with a float in the 4th of July parade.

In the morning we had the traditional VBS. Our theme was "Dive In." There were Bible stories, music, crafts, and snacks.

In the afternoon there was a picnic and cookout for all ages. The weather was beautiful.

In the afternoon there was also lots of fun and games. There was an egg toss, pie eating contest, and other activities Pastor Rossman even took a turn in the dunk tank. (The water was a little chilly!)

We pray that all those who attended were able to dive into God's Word, and get to know their Savior better. We thank everyone who helped promote and conduct this activity.

July 4th Parade - We will distribute flyers at the Whitewater parade. This will be an invitation to our summer VBS and information on our congregation. This will be a joint project with our congregation and Christus. They will have a float in the parade and there will be a wagon behind the float with VBS information and invitations.
